The chief financial officer for the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), Jerome Chester, MBA, is responsible for the organization’s financial functions including accounting, audit, contracts, and grants. As a member of the leadership team, he shares the responsibility for the attainment of the organization’s strategic and operational goals. Mr. Chester’s career spans more than 30 years of varied experience in financial management, federal government contracts, business leadership, and organizational strategy.
Before joining NACCHO in January 2017, Jerome served as the CFO for an affiliate of Sheppard Pratt. Previously, Jerome was the CFO for the Baltimore City Health Department.
Mr. Chester is proficient at establishing systems, processes, and controls that mitigate risk and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines and adept at team building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external business partners. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Accounting, and a Bachelor of Science in business/information systems.
