Meet the 2022 Children’s Environmental Health and Healthy Housing Summer Fellows
The National Center for Healthy Housing and the Children’s Environmental Health Network are pleased to announce the selections of Sanchez Rolle and Bailey Ward as the inaugural Children’s Environmental Health and Healthy Housing Summer Fellows.
Growing up in the Exuma district of the Bahamas, Sanchez Rolle has always enjoyed the natural environment. He is a 2018 graduate of the historic Tuskegee University, where he obtained one degree in biology and another in food and nutritional sciences. As a current MPH/PhD student, Sanchez is focused on assisting underserved communities in mitigating environmental public health challenges. He serves as a community engagement associate for a local grassroot organization in Ohio. Sanchez enjoys taking road trips and, during his free time, discovering new places to visit.
Bailey Ward is currently completing her Master of Public Health degree at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Bailey is studying community health sciences with an interest in environmental health and justice. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA in 2021 with a major in geography/environmental studies and a minor in public health. Influenced by her experiences growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is dedicated to doing the work to fight against environmental injustice and the inequities that exacerbate economic and health disparities in communities like hers.
