New Mexico Department of Health Asthma Control Program
1190 South St. Francis Drive, Suite N1300 Santa Fe, NM 87505
The New Mexico Department of Health’s Asthma Control Program has been receiving technical assistance from NCHH and other partner experts to support development of a proposal to a healthcare entity to support a pilot program to deliver home-based asthma services using a workforce of CHWs or paramedicine professionals. Guidance and feedback on incorporating background on the national landscape, utilizing existing ROI documentation, researching possible models to guide protocols for the pilot program, and specific feedback on NM’s existing asthma track curriculum for previously certified CHWs and how to align this curriculum with any proposed pilot activities have served as the primary areas of technical assistance provided.
